Graduation Requirements

You must complete the following in order to get your diploma,
partake in Commencement Exercises,
and be included in the Ceremony Program:

Complete and submit your Commencement
Application through WebAdvisor.

Pay Your Graduation Fee

Make $150 payment to
Student Financial Services.

Verify Diploma Delivery

Check your UB email to verify/select
your diploma delivery option.

Complete An Exit Interview

Applicable to Federal Direct
or Perkins loans recipients only.

Deadline: April 27, 2017

Submit Your Completed Application for Commencement

Application is available online through WebAdvisor. Please make an appointment with your academic advisor to review your record prior to submitting the application online.

 

Pay Your $150 Graduation Fee and Outstanding Balances

This fee MUST be paid in order to graduate. In addition, all outstanding balances owed to the University must be paid in full before the Office of the Registrar will release any diploma to the student.

Verify or Select Diploma Delivery Option

You will receive an e-mail in your UB e-mail account asking you to verify the mailing address and offering you the option of picking up your diploma in person. Please keep an eye on your UB e-mail for this message. Diploma processing takes approximately 20-30 days after your graduation date.

All candidates will receive a commencement packet in the mail,
if they completed their application online, and have a current address on file.

If you plan to attend the Commencement Ceremony:

  • Purchase your Academic Regalia
  • Order tickets

Before you leave campus:

  • Return your PAL (Personal Alarm Locator) to the Security Department. Failure to do so will result in a fee being charged to your account. The Security Department will accept returns 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
  • Make arrangements for health insurance after you graduate. If you were enrolled in UB Student Health Insurance, the Sickness and Accident coverage under the University of Bridgeport Student Insurance Plan will expire on July 31.
